About
I am a visual artist. Through photography, I create images that transcend their original medium to enter the realm of painting and drawing. My process is based on stratification. I collect dozens of fragments from the world: ancient and contemporary faces, geological formations, buried artifacts, materials transformed by time. These photographs overlap, merge, and dialogue with one another. Their patterns and colors blend to generate new forms, new colors. Each image is a composite archaeology, a sedimentation of gazes. My images are never finished. They constitute a material and temporal stage in an ongoing research process. I transform them, revisit them, reinvent them throughout my aesthetic and philosophical inquiries, of which they are the visible embodiment. My research explores the transitional zones between the non-living and the living, uses temporal stratification as an instrument for representing a subjective human history, and questions the gaze as presence within representation. I print my works myself on Hahnemühle, Canson, Munken, or Epson art papers. This mastery of the production chain ensures faithfulness to my vision and the longevity of the prints. My images then take multiple directions: private or public collections, site-specific installations, landscape interventions, exceptional decoration, textile and stationery editions.
MY CREATIVE PROCESS
A single one of my images can result from the fusion of dozens of photographs. Layer after layer, patterns blend, reveal themselves, then hide again. This technique produces a dizzying depth and an organic complexity that the eye never stops exploring. My images are never finished. They constitute a material and temporal stage in an ongoing research process. I transform them, revisit them, reinvent them as my inquiries progress. They are the tangible embodiment of an intellectual and sensory journey in constant motion.
An Embodied Philosophical
Inquiry
My work explores three fundamental axes:
The transitional zones between the non-living and the living
Where does life begin? Where does inert matter end? My images inhabit this fascinating in-between.
Temporal stratification as an instrument of representation
"Time does not unfold linearly. It sediments, folds, unfolds. My visual stratifications embody a subjective, emotional, fragmented human history.
The gaze: a presence in representation
The eyes that traverse my images — ancient faces, contemporary portraits — are not mere motifs. They constitute a presence, a witness, a consciousness that looks and is looked at.
MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE
I print all of my works myself on exceptional art papers: Hahnemühle, Canson, Munken, Epson. This complete mastery of the production chain guarantees:
- Absolute faithfulness to the original image
- The longevity of prints (archival inks and papers)
- Artistic control over each stage
- Museum-quality for every piece
